Yum! The white pie is divine. Kind Customer service, quick service at lunch time. I'm sad we missed the croutons for my Caesar. They weren't finished yet. I'm sure they're as good as the rest of the food though.
What to say about House of Fire... I want to be fair as possible, but a lot of the reason I can't mark them higher is personal preferences. For example, as the name suggests this place uses a fire oven to cook their pies, which makes the crust firm and crispy, which I do not prefer. The toppings, although fresh, are sparsely added, resulting in a pizza that is mainly crust and sauce. The staff are extremely friendly. Prices are a little high for food and I feel like the majority of the cost is the "atmosphere" or feel, but its located in a shopping center with views of a parking lot... If thin and crispy is your jam you should definitely stop in and try their pie. If you prefer a deep dish or doughy crust keep on rolling because you will be disappointed.
The pizza here is outta the world, the pizza was cooked perfectly, and it was delicious
The reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the service. We came here late, the restaurant was half full and we place an order. The pizzas came out in about 20 minutes, and we enjoyed. However, we sat at the restaurant for over 90 minutes waiting for the dessert we had ordered. After asking for it, 2 times, and after the second time the response I got after asking for the second time was kind of rude, with a “we can make a cannoli for you if that’s what you want”, got a cannoli that seemed to be thrown together, fast and without wanting to do it.
If you decide visit this place, stick to the pizza,
Great pizza and beer/wine. Great/quick service!
Caesar salad had tomatoes, onions, garbanzo beans so definitely not a caesar & dressing was some sort of vinaigrette that had no flavor. Pizza crust great. Smoked ham on Hawaiian great but very little pineapple. Garlic knots had barely any garlic flavor & 2 were completely raw dough inside.
Clean restaurant / newer restaurant/ cute decor and good atmosphere.
13 “ pizza can feed two people it was $20 that included two sodas - we had the buffalo chicken pizza. Good service.
Establishment was very clean, staff was super nice. Wood fired pizza came out cooked perfect. Really no complaints. The pizza was just not my cup of tea. Not bashing the food, just not my favorite style of pizza.
Casual pizza place. Great thin crust pizzas. Went with the Mushroom Madness, with added sausage (on the chef's recommendation). So good! Absolutely worth trying. Would be going again if we lived in Fairbanks.
